La Flèche

The Town of La Flèche lies in the historical and popular holiday area of the Loire Valley. It is 28 miles (45 km) south west of Le Mans and an easy half-day drive from the ferry ports of Le Havre, Caen and Cherbourg.

The town has a population of approximately 25,000 and has developed around the riverside site of the XI century castle where the Town Hall now stands and centres on the prestigious, and splendid, Prytanée military academy.
